# Raku

> Raku is the frontier platform for visual AI. Its product, Sight, is visual AI for real work. It is computer vision trained on a company's own job photos: every photo a field crew takes is checked and comes back as pass, fail or needs a person, with the reason.

Raku is an Australian company (Raku Technologies Pty Ltd, Melbourne). Field crews photograph every job, and someone in the office checks those photos by hand. Sight does the checking. Raku's computer vision engineers label the photos, train and tune the model, write the checks and connect Sight to the customer's systems, so the customer hires no machine learning team and buys no infrastructure.

## What Sight does

- Checks each job photo against what the job requires: defects, install verification, safety gear, asset condition, what is on site.
- Returns an outcome for every check (pass, fail, needs a person, cannot tell, missing), with the photo and the reason.
- Says what to retake when a photo is missing or unclear, so it can be fixed while the crew is still on site.
- Answers fast first (rules and the model in well under a second), then final once readings land; accepts readings the phone already made; posts signed results back to the customer's app.
- Is trained on the customer's own photos, and scored on photos the model has never seen before it goes live.

## Who it is for

- **Operations teams** at mid-market field companies (field services, construction, telecommunications installation, utilities, facilities) who check job photos by hand today.
- **Software teams** who want photo checks inside their own product, under their own name, through an API and a public TypeScript SDK (`@raku-technologies/sight` on npm).
