Sight is free for research and teaching.
Students, teachers and researchers at an accredited institution get Sight's Starter plan free for 12 months, renewable, for non-commercial teaching and research. All we ask is that you cite Sight in work it helped with.

Sight's Starter plan, renewable each year while the teaching or research goes on. What it holds
The whole loop
Label your photos, train a model on them, score it on photos it never saw, and write rules that give each photo a verdict.
From your own code
Call your models through the API from any language, or with the TypeScript SDK on npm.
From your assistant
Sight works inside Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that take a connector.
Who it is for
Who can apply
Students, teachers and researchers at an accredited university, TAFE or school, for teaching or non-commercial research.
Who cannot
Commercial work, research a company pays for, and coursework done for a company. Talk to us about those instead.
What we ask
Cite Sight in any published work it helped with, and tell us in a few lines what the course or project is, when you apply and when you renew.
How to apply
01Email us from your institution address
Write to [email protected] with your name, institution and role, the course or project, what you want to check in photos, and how many people will use it.
02We read every application
We reply by email, and may ask a question or two about the work.
03We switch on Starter
Once approved, your Sight company has Starter free for 12 months. Before it ends, tell us how the work is going to renew it.

In a paper, a thesis or course material that used Sight:

Free access is for teaching and non-commercial research only, under our Terms of Service. It ends if it is used for commercial work. How we handle personal information is in our Privacy Policy.
